Tyler: Nevermind that those kids destroyed our lockers, smashed up two of Sutton's cars, tried to kill us after the Winter Formal, and nearly drove Sutton to suicide. Jay used to be Sutton's best friend, and after pulling him out of that wreck, Sutton cried over him like a baby. Then he sneaked behind my back to visit them all in the hospital.

Sutton isn't... better. Sure, he seems okay, but he's still fragile. He always needed everyone's approval. So he's happy to forget the preps' gay bashing and play nice. I keep warning him. But Sutton tries to be everything to everyone...

Sutton: Jay came to my tenth birthday party. What if one of those kids died tomorrow? I don't want to be their friend. But I won't treat them like they treated us. Tyler doesn't get it.
